Community Meeting:

Who: For anyone that wants to attend
What: Discuss up coming Drift event on June 5th
When: March 26th, 2005 1pm -?(about an hour or two)
Where: Northgate Mall Parking Lot. South end near the Bus Entrance Depot.
Why: The reason I want to have this meeting is to discuss Drift Fest '05. After speaking with many people at the Oregon Drift Day it seems there are a few misunderstanding about our event. I would like to have this meeting so I can explain to people what to expect at Drift Fest '05. Also to answer any questions people may have. I would also like to get people's ideas on what they may or may not like about Drift Fest so I hopefully can make sure everyone enjoys there time there and leaves HAPPY.

Well it wont let me Edit my original post so here's some more details.

Although some here may not be into drifting I am posting it for those that are. Also many may be interested in the Car Show part of the event. So come on out to Monroe and enjoy a Sunday with other auto enthusiasts.

Drift Fest is bringing Drifting and a Car Show to one location. On Sunday June 5th at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA you will be able to find all the entertainment an automotive enthusiasts will need.

The Drifting part of the event will be open to all who register. Allowing local drifters the valuable track time they need to perfect there driving skills. There will be instruction for those still learning the skill of drifting. We will even have ride alongs available for those who are interested in the sport but do not have a vehicle ready to start drifting yet. With all these options it allows people of every level to enjoy the day.

The Car Show side of the event will again be open to all who register. Displaying some of the NW's Phatest Rides. Many different trophies in numerous classes. 'Best of Show' winner not only wins a trophy but also a small feature in an up coming issue of Performance Auto & Sound Magazine. DB Drags will be brought to you by Car Toys, the better way to go.

There will be tons of other entertainment through out the day. Including some great DJ's, some of the NW's hottest girls competing in the Bikini Contest, and much more. Come and experiance the Northwest Premier Drifting Event.

Thank You!

I'm glad everyone enjoyed themself. Personally I'm my worse critic so I seen alot of stuff that went wrong, and things that I will do different at the next one

I will say that without all the help I got there is no way I could have done this event. Especially Torque Steerers,(www.torquesteerers.org) more then less made the drifting a success. Sean judging and making sure Car show ran smooth.

BTW Anyone see the idiot on stage that entered all judging info into program using car number instead of names. I can laugh at myself too. Thanks again to everyone who drove out to see the event.

I would like to also make a special thanks to EO Performance.(http://eoperformance.com) The only performance shop that purchased booth space.
