Replaced the 98 Frontier water pump today (4 cylinder, 2WD, 147K miles), saw leak on the ground, felt coolant coming out of water pump weep hole. Lifetime warranty pump was $52 at CarQuest, took almost three hours from start to finish, no problems encountered. The AC belt did not need to be removed to do the job. I did R&R the upper radiator hose to clean it out. So, in the 58 months I've had the Frontier, I've had three repairs:

1. Starter
2. Bad ignition switch, fixed by installing a toggle (couldn't get the part on a Saturday)
3. Water pump

So not bad for 58 months; also I installed a remote oil filter kit, original location was pain in the a** to get to.

Actually, make that about a 2 hour job, I was also cleaning up from working on my Suburban, disposing of its oil, waiting for coolant to drain, etc.
