Probably stupid questions but I like a definite answer so i'll ask anyway...

I have a 1994 D21 KA24E 4x4 King Cab

If the ECU has codes to show you, does it always light the check engine light?

What if the check engine light comes on briefly and then goes out? Does the code stay in the system?
