My son has a 1989 sentra 1.6 the #3 cylinder is not fireing. I changed all plugs and checked the wires. With it runing I pulled the wire from the cap and there was a spark but no change in the motor then I pulled the wire from the plug and there was a spark. I then removed the plug and started the motor and there was a spark on the plug. I don't know what else to do. Does anybody have any sugestions. Thanks.

Try another spark plug, try changing the dist cap and rotor
Hi there

I have changed the plugs, wires, rotor and cap. Now not only is #3 not working but #2 stop working. I did pull the wire for #2 out of the cap with it runing and there was no spark from the cap. Can the distributor be going bad or is the IC ignition unit?
