My crash bar/bumper is "V'd" from hitting a pole. These
don't bolt on our Sentras, do they?

Anyone have any suggestions on pulling it out? I've used
a winch and a tree before on other cars. Should I heat
the hell out of it and winch it? Any past experience would
be greatly appreciated.

The funny and awesome thing about this is that the
radiator is "v'd" as well and works perfectly. The car
runs fine! Hah! Our cars take a serious beating.

She only has 150,000 miles on her so I'm dying to get her
back on the road again. I wanna go for 350,000...

I have one more question about the crash bar.

Is it held on only by the one big bolt on each side? The
one attaching to it from underneath, that is.

Thanks.

my car has a pole indention on it's front bumper that sounds similar to yours. and yeah the radiator is pushed in a little and runs fine, kinda funny isn't it? haha, well i don't know how to pull it out but i tried to take the front bumper off and push it in. i guess i didn't try hard enough because i couldn't even get the bumper off. but that goes to show my knowlege of working on cars isn't the greatest.

I got it off. There were two more hidden bolts underneath
the car.

Yeah man, it's amazing the abuse these things will take. I
love them.

I got the radiator ripped out and I'm in the process of
straightening up some stuff as well as ripping out the entire
AC system. My engine bay is much less "crowded" with all
that AC out. Now I just have to find an extremely cheap radiator
because I am b.r.o.k.e...

man i'd love to figure out how to get that damn bumper off, i guess i'll just have my dad take a look. did you get the dent out? i'm curious as i'd like to see a before/after if you get it. haha. yeah these cars are tough, my mom hit a deer in her white 90 sentra and it took a beating. we ended up beating out some dents and getting a new headlight and it's in working order.

The crash bars are so cheap that I just tossed it. It was pretty pushed in. Too much work to straighten it out for what it was worth, in my opinion. Are you talking the bumper or the crash bar? I can take some photos indicating the bolt locations for you and post them. I'll have to do it tomorrow morning.

A deer!? Man, that's crazy. Nissan = Deer Tough.

Oh, man. Totally.

Do you have the front bumper cover? Possibly hood?
Where are you located and what would you want for
both? PM me if'n you want. If you know anyone with
a 89 Sentra radiator, send'em my way.

Thanks. Really.
I was restoring my Celica GT and now I'm on a mission
to get my Sport Coupe going as my daily driver cuz I
can't afford gas. Hah.

This is the front bumper i have, as you can see it's got a little scratch of two in the left side (nothing some filler wouldn't fix). As for a hood, I only have a 4 door hood and cowl (which will fit) basically the difference is the V shape on the hood/cowl is wider on the sport coupe than the sedan.

I live in Kentucky and I'd take $200 for the hood/cowl and the bumper all together or $100 for the bumper cover. You'd have to pay for shipping though.

Too funny, Jwebb. It seems like that's the spot they ALL get
hit in. Sucks...cuz it makes front end parts hard to find.

Campgroundman, The shipping on those would kill me. Sucks
because I was just in Kentucky a couple weeks ago. If I make
it down soon, maybe I could contact you. I'm gonna keep
hitting up the junkyards around here in the meantime.

Thanks again...
