I know I've read on this site that the 1989 Sentra has a GA16i engine. But I just got my Haynes manual and it says the GA16i engine is only for 1990 and up.

Can someone clear this upand tell me what I have... Thanks

i got the Haynes Manual that says "for all Nissan Sentra 1982-1990 Gasoline Engine Models..."

I guess it was misprint..

it says does not cover diesal engine adn 4wd models...

the book was published in england.. maybe thats why

No, unless I'm all wrong too, there was a diesel (CD17) version in the early '80s. Most likely not very common. ;)

found one desiel in the junk yard one time. wierd huh ..

i got the Chiltons repair manual for 1982-92 sentra all the diff engines and everything for canadian and US cars.

this book is awsome i had it for like forever

I was 10 when it was built but only 4 when it was designed :eek:

You guys are still babies!!! he he he!! I was 16 when I bought in 1989 my brand new GA16i Pulsar NX. Yeah thats right I have it now for 13 years and counting.
