find a post by nostro, he has a custom CAI tutorial in his sig.
intakes cost what they do because they aren't just piping slapped together. There is engineering research done as to how best build the intake for optimum power.

Going the cheap way on doing mods will not get you power, it will get you ugly ghetto parts.

Hotshot Intake... $79 from ebay, Awesome Performance, Best growl you'll get out of the GA16DE

You'll have 2.5" couplings from TB to the MAF then everything is 3" from the MAF to your fender well... including the filter.

is there a way to make the filter sit in the hole just left of the driver fog light. I realy wont to keep my fog lights.
you can keep your fog lights
every pic ive seen had the fog light removed. If you put the filter behined the fog light you wont have as mutch flow as you would with it removed. But i wont the best of both worlds. I wont to put the filter right besid the radiator in that big opening in the bumper, geting the flow that removeing your fog light wold have with out removeing it. Has eny one done this?

p.s. I may not spell good but i'm a math and science wiz, so plaes dont try to feed my b.s. that is to every one who thinks im an idiot, not just you pete.
sorry for the spelling was in a rush and forgot to hit spell check

i'm quite lucky with my primera in that i've got a gearbox cooler on my GT bodykit which isn't in use so i have a nice huge bit of hose which literally sticks straight into the opening of my open top filter....

you can just see it at the bottom right of the bumper...

here is my intake before i put it into the wing but i don't have any pics of it after...i've also changed the metal filter to an apexi one as well...

if i get my side mounted intake i'll be getting a hotshot one for definite...mines homemade and theres a fair bit of R&D which goes into all these products...can never remock that up yourself really!

Nice looking Nissan Lurch. I like your car a lot. The chassis looks totally diff. I thought that's a VW Passat in the pic
