Hello, I have a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder and SES light comes on with a P1130 code. I live in Massachusetts so any vehicle over 15 years old ONLY get a safety inspection, NOT EMISSIONS.. Since my Pathfinder is 19 years old, do I really need to have this repaired?? I clear the codes when ever they come on. Will NOT fixing this code hurt my vehicle in any way?

Thank you for your time..

If you don't want to fix it, pull and plug the vacuum line that connects the solenoid to the swirl valve. This will cause the swirl butterflies to stay open all the time. It will of course affect performance a bit, but it shouldn't cause any real problems. Lots of cars are driving around with bad swirl solenoids.
