Does anybody know of a good high-performance 200mm clutch for the E15? I'm thinking about the Nismo one but I'd like to check a few other sources. Thanks.

mike, im also looking into better clutch right now ... i hope ACT as something otherwise ill be going custom, i got a custom clutch builder company around here that did good work on few cars ive pushed over 300hp... my Centerforce i bought is pretty much gone (june 05..) It never holded right... Thus i still got the e15et centerforce clutch still wich i know is already bigger but i doubt it will do better than the e16i/ga16de unit i got... it should hold on an mid N/a application (<150hp)

if you want it let me know ive been wanting to get rid of it for a long time !! plus i how you a tip or two ;)

Martin,

Is that the dual friction model Centerforce clutch? How does that work, are there two discs in there? What do they mean by "dual friction"?
yes its a dual friction ... it got one side that is made out of kevlar pad, the other one is organic stock like material ... mated to a "stronger" PP ...
it isnt a twin plate taught just an upgrade stock like single plated clutch... i can send you a pic if you want...
Thanks for the explanation Martin. Now I understand. :)

Sounds like exactly what I need. I should be low pressure boosting soon and might need it then. As soon as I feel it slip, I will be buying this clutch from you a.s.a.p. Too bad I have to pull the motor and tranny out to replace a clutch on a 4WD B12!

Mike
transfer case making the issue when you change the clutch on this thing ?.. regular ga16de is pretty simple !.. im actually putting on a HD ACT kit on a ga16de (b14) and the engine havent needed to be taken out...
It's a different story on the 4WD models though. The transfer case sort of wraps around the side of the engine block and is very tricky to separtate and reinstall. It actually can be done without removing the engine. I did it once at the dealer with a lift, but it was a miserable job and I would never try that again. It's actually faster to pull the engine and trans as a unit.
