i would say oem clutch are kindda "springing"... half way tend to be like fliping a bented sheet of metal... looks ok to me... numerous manual cars, and they all feel about the same... even a staged clutch feels about the same (but the travel)...

Rice !!... the thing is that you probably worn the tooth on the pressure plate until the cutted... so now maybe half the tooth are cut in 2.. wich when the cluth is engaged, the pressure surface is half wath is should be!... i changed mine because it was sliping throu long gears like 4 and 5... now its kicking in all gears !!... kindda burns even in 3th stock interns...

the thing is that it wont really worn past that.. one day its gonna break and then you wont have any traction or youll have to power shift to get home !!....
