I have the same year truck. The link you found is correct. Basically, you turn your ignition to ON (don't start it) and you should see the check engine light on. Under your passenger seat should be the ECU with a little dial on it. Turn it fully clockwise. Wait a few seconds and the check engine light should go off, then turn it fully counterclockwise. You should see a red/green light on the ECU. It should begin flashing your code. The check engine light too may begin flashing.

Thanks, I went out to check it and looks like I'm gonna have to take out the seat. I'm gonna wait until I have a couple of hot days where I can clean the seat and carpet and let dry b4 I put them back in.
