The Blubs for the fuel level and average speed/trip in the digital dash have burnt out. The haynes tells you to remove the steering wheel (using a steering wheel remover). The problem is i dont have a steering wheel remover. Is it possible to change the blubs without taking the steering wheel off or taking it off without a steering wheel remover? thank you

I've pulled the entire digital dash out without removing the steering wheel. It's a tight squeeze, but possible.

go to autozone.
pullers and installers are usually in stock for rental. you just pay a deposit you get back later, so you're using the tool for free basically.

you can barely get the dash cluster out without removing the steering wheel yes, but if you're not careful you'll break a plastic piece that won't allow you to install it later.

if you disconnect the proper dash harness connectors AFTER removing the bottom dash covers where your knees are.. then when you take off the steering column bolt attaching it to the dash support... then you'll be able to lower the steering column out of your way. (that's if you don't have the deposit for the steering wheel puller).

it's easier to just pull the steering wheel.

or do it without pulling it.

just don't break anything that you'll need later when trying to wedge that dash cluster out.

it isn't the bulbs. it's the power supply.
