Sure you can disable it by removing the belt (very easy to do), but there's only one caveat... It will render your air conditioning useless as well.

Ultimately you will lave less power and mileage than when the S/C belt was on. Sounds like a winning combination to me.

Long story short-- Don't do it, you won't be happy with the results.
