a friend and i have a discussion...

i read that someone has a s14a(my car) sr20det with a lot of mods(intercooler, cam gears, turbo timer, etc...), but the stock turbo...

this turbo has 14.5psi

in dyno this car have 295hp and 41kg of torque(300foot pound)

the question is... its a secure engine???

what do you think, thx

With a t25...I believe that maybe pushing it a little. A T28 might be a totally different story. Anyhow someone correct me if i'm wrong...

New Intercooler, new exhaust system, new air intake... that might give you an additional 20-40 hp.
The European turbo runs (officially!) with 0,5 Bar and is good for about 1,0 Bar. Each +0,1 Bar gives you a plus of 5-10% horsepower. But then you need a FCD if you implement more than 0,85 Bar pressure!

So, yes it's possible to come close to 300hp, but I wouldn't bet my motor that his motor'll last long.

Why do you say that? SR20's can handle 400whp before the rods/crank/pistons will give out. Just currious.

I understand your english just fine :)

I think the T28 can hit 18lbs safely, but it will run it into the ground if you run that high of boost on a daily basis.

The only problem is that the T28 can out flow the stock 370cc injectors and MAF at around 260whp.
