The CA18DE was also in the 88 pulsar and was the year with the most power in the engine. But I was asking about the CA18ET out of, I think is was an 86 200 or 240 sx
It was out of the 1884-87 200sx turbo in RWD flavor. It basically is the same engine as the CA18DE (Block, crank, rods, headgasket) just single overhead cam.
The 180SX has a CA18DET in it and no it would not be wise to use because of the intake manifold conversion and a few other things, but it can work if needed. The CA18DET came in a few cars in Japan and the FWD version was found in the 1989-91 bluebird attessa SSS which is actually a 4wd drive vehicle with 4wd Hicas all wheel steering. Using a nissan pulsar's tranny will help make your CA18DET conversion very cheap and somewhat american!
