The CA18DE was sold in NA. You can just get one of those and turbo it. Probably easier then importing

what car was the ca18de offered in? would a north american ca18de with a jdm ca18det's exhaust manifold make for a good turbo manifold?

The CA18DE came in the '89-'90 Pulser SE. They have "twincam" badges on the rear.

Asking for CA18ET

The CA18DE was also in the 88 pulsar and was the year with the most power in the engine. But I was asking about the CA18ET out of, I think is was an 86 200 or 240 sx

It was out of the 1884-87 200sx turbo in RWD flavor. It basically is the same engine as the CA18DE (Block, crank, rods, headgasket) just single overhead cam.

You can't use the engine from the 180SX because it's RWD. you won't be able to hookup the tranny

The 180SX has a CA18DET in it and no it would not be wise to use because of the intake manifold conversion and a few other things, but it can work if needed. The CA18DET came in a few cars in Japan and the FWD version was found in the 1989-91 bluebird attessa SSS which is actually a 4wd drive vehicle with 4wd Hicas all wheel steering. Using a nissan pulsar's tranny will help make your CA18DET conversion very cheap and somewhat american!
