I got a motor, just the motor. no wiring. How can i tell what bore it has without taking the head off and actually measuring it. Are there any tags or markings to indicate whether it's a 1.6 or 1.8 on the Block itself? Not sure what wiring harness to use with this unknown motor. Any help would be great!

Thanks! - Kirk

should have a a marking on the bell housing part of the engine.. should have CA16 or CA18.. then just look up engine specs that way IMO.

I think there is a difference in intake manifolds. The CA18DE has the throttle-body positioned like this:

While the CA16DE is like this (GA16 pictured but you get the idea):

actually the ca16de has the same style intake as the ca18de. they have different intake piping but they both come out over the engine.

you should see a flat spot on the block right where the transmission would bolt up at. look to the right of the engine, just below the valve cover.
