Ok, I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra GXE, I don't know much about cars, But I'm trying to figure out WTF! So, my car was running fine, even that day I had takin' it to the store and back home, no issues at all. My car had just hit 82,000 miles, I've treated it very kind. So, I'm leaving my house to go to the store that day, and I turn out onto the road, and I just barely hit 25 Miles an hour, and my car died. And then it would crank but not turn over, I checked and I could hear my Fuel Pump. I took it to a mechanic I hardly know, and he said originall it was my Camshaft sensors, he replaced them, and said that didnt' fix it, and then he said that it was my CamShaft, I've tried researching this, and I don't see ANY other cases of a CamShaft on a 2003 Nissan breaking, Is this possible? I'm having a mechanic that I've known for years check it tomorrow, but What will a CamShaft cost me? How much does this generally cost to have fixed?

Shitttt sounds like the mechanic thinks he has a Pidgeon! Ask him to see the broken cam before he goes any further, make sure that it is still in the engine. I don't trust anyone! Maybe that is the reason I do all my own wrenching?? I would also aeriously doubt that it is a broken cam. It seems to me the only way that those things break is when inexperianced guy's take them out then try putting them back in and don't do the proper tourqe sequence lol! Thanks for the Tip OCHo!!
