If you have an SE-R, I would recommend the OEM pads. Everything else I've seen dusts rather badly.

I have NAPA's and they are totally silent. The factory pads IMO suck because of the sqwealing (sp)--very annoying. Plus the NAPA's have a lifetime warranty; I just installed my 4th free set!

I'm quite satisfied with the stock pads on my SE-R for street use.

rear brake conversions

Hey, what would the cost be involved in converting from rear drums to discs and is it worth it?
My rear drums are rusty and look like crap beneath the spokes of my wheels. They're becoming worn anyway.

OE Nissan pads are the best all around pad available, be careful not to get the QValue pads that Nissan offers-- they suck!

Metal Masters/Axxis (same thing) are a good step up from the OE pad, however, they tend to be noisy when cold, and are dusty.

Portorfield R4S for track days, or severe street use.

Portorfield R4's for racing.

Hope this helps,
nick
