hey fellas, new to this particular site and glad to be here!! i just picked up a 1985 truck with a few issues and now i have some questions. my main concern is the braking system. the previous owner had used this as primarily a mountain run and hunting truck. the back brake lines have been cut off completely so i'm needing to replace some parts here. i'm wondering if there is a disc brake upgrade available for this year?

The only way to get disc brakes that I know of is to swap the rear end out of a Pathfinder that has them. This is a bit of work and I'm not really convinced that it's worth the work. The standard front disc/rear drum system on the HB's works pretty well as long as it's properly serviced and maintained.
