I have a 1997 Nissan 200sx Se-r and my brake lights stay on while the car is off. After close examination I realized that something had broken into pieces, black plastic pieces, in my floorboard underneath the pedal assembly. I later found out that it was the brake bumper, where can I locate the hole where the bumper is inserted? Thank you

You probably have it fixed by now, but the circular plastic plug inserts into the plate with the hole in it where the brake pedal switch sits. The brake pedal switch tip pushes against the plug. Those plugs break with age and do exactly what you experienced, after thousands of depressions into them, and can drain the battery if not caught. I always carry one spare in each car.
