Advance it 5 degrees, to 15 degrees BTDC.

first of all, do u know how to go about doing this timing advance?? u do have to run high octane fuel for about 2 tanks of gas before u even do it....and 15 degrees is the best, but if u hear detonation or pinging, retard it a couple degrees!

Yes i know how to do the timeing advance, i was just wondering whats the best degree to advance it to

:D (unlike my ranking im not a newbie)

Sentra.net, in Kojima's Garage, under Engine.
Check the timing before you do it. If it's under 15, you advance, if it's over 15, you retard.

heheheh.. I just wanted to call someone a retard. Man, sometimes I'm just too clever for my own good.
http://nituning.cjb.net under "How-Tos" and you will find advance timing.
run 93 octane, then help it once in a while with octane booster, that should keep everything up to par.....
the goods and bads of living in CA.. i wouldnt leave for anything, but we only get 91 octane fuel! is 91 safe to run up to 15*? anyone in CA have their car @ 15* while running our shitty premium?

I visit CA a lot and have used the 91 octane there and my timing is at 15*. No problems whatsoever. I have even run 89 on occasion w/o problems.
octane booster, the quality kind, would help once in a while.......
how do you change this timing this on your cars? :D
why do people believe in those octane boosters? especially if your car isnt pinging, it doesnt do any good to spend money on it. its like running premium fuel when all you need is 87
I agree. I tried an octane booster once and felt no difference at all.
i know that this may sound wierd and even impossible but im running my ga16 @ 19* right now with no detonation at all with 93 octane fuel

btw the car pulls really hard on 1st and 2nd gear but after 3rd it slows down a bit
it's a peace of mind thing, and with that, one can confidently go further...........perhaps, faster.......
