Well i am fortunate to have a 96 sr20 with 58k on it and i was going to do a full tune up on it can anyone suggest some components (such as spark plug,wires, possibly ignition system) i am looking to get more performance out of my car.. :cheers:

NGK Copper Plugs
the basic one dont worry about the more expensive one.

Also NGK blue plugs :)

that is a good setting...

For a tune-up the following parts have proven themselves to be good choices:
Spark plugs: NGK either platinum (originally came with the new car) or coppers (last about 20,000 miles) Other brands don't last in the SR20.
Plug wires: Nissan wires
Distributor cap & rotor: Nissan
Note: The stock ignition system is excellent and works well with turbocharged engines running 15psi (~300WHP)
Fuel filter: There is no clear preference
Air Filter: For stock intake either Nissan or K&N. An aftermarket intake using a K&N type filter is good for a few horsepower.
Timing: Set the timing to 17* This is within factory specifications and is good for a few horsepower. (Doesn't require premium gas)
