i removed my p/s rack for the manual steering and my concern is that my stock set up uses the p/s pump as the tentioner for the water pump,i would like to know what is diffrent on the non-p/s sentra ,alternator braket?,alternator pulley?,water pump pulley?,i know (thru alldata)that the set up for the belt is from the crank to the water pump and to the alternator ,but mine does not line up?,any pictures of an E sentra belt area or info will be great.:)

So scrap your old Alt and PS belts and go to the parts store and ask for your crank to alternator and water pump belt for a Sentra E.

could be that you need a different pully as well. Good luck with it.

I too, would like to know the exact difference. My guess is that there must be a differently offset alt. bracket. A call to a dealer parts dept. might get you the answer. If the alt. mount bracket part# is the same for the P/S and the non P/S car, then Nissan must have done it another way.

If the belt is skinny enough maybe you can shift it in the grooves so it lines up, but make sure it runs in a straight plane. In my FSM it shows it shifted to the left for models w/out a/c (yes I know the issue here is no p/s).
