Hi all. I'm just talking stock here ('95 SE-R). I started getting a kind of cool but definitely inappropriate brrraping sound coming from up front. I took it to a shop where they said there's a hole in my exhaust header pipe (near the bend toward the muffler I think), along with carbon buildup.

Has this pipe just worn through for anyone? I live in SF where rust isn't really an issue and I don't *think* I've taken any hits down there. One muffler guy I talked to on the phone said he's never had to replace that pipe on a '95 anything.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Haven't had that happen on my '95, then again I have the ga16 and the car was garaged for 5 years of its life. It also only has 54,000 miles so it isn't likely it'll rust soon. What's the mileage on yours?

Great excuse for a header. Release those trapped horsepower.
However, I've never heard of that problem happening on any SE-R that I know of, regardless of mileage.
