I have a nismo lower tie bar for my b14 200sx. I was wondering if this would be easy to install myself or if i should take it and have it professionally installed? Also, will this do anything to the ride height of my car?

the install for me was pretty easy, but if you dont have the tools, then it is hard. i had to borrow a couple from my local auto zone, but i got it done. and no it does not do anything to the ride height.

What do you mean Nismo tie bar? Never seen one for a b14 that isnt exactly like stock..... if you havent done anything like that before then you should take it in to be done by a pro.

I have the stillen g-load brace, which is basically the same thing. It was easy enough to get in, just took some coaxing.

ya, but the one that liu sells is for the front, the one that meangreen is talking about is for the rear. anyways, both of them work good, i also would want the stage 2 tiebar, it looks real heavy duty!!

Installation is EASY. You may/may not have been given a set of new, longer bolts. I got a set of longer lower control arm bolts with my Cusco front lower tie bar V2.

Bascially jack the car up, pull the old bolts out, put the lower tie bar on then put the bolts back through to hold the tie bar in place. It might be an easier process if you had a hoist (car lift) to get the car off the ground.

I won't change the physical height of the car, but it will reduce the underbody clearance.

One little tip, the crush tube in the lower control arm bushes will want to "move" out of alighnment of the bolt hole (usually), so it would be a good idea to have a spare bolt or 2 handy to push into the hole as you pull the other bolt out to basically take its place and keep the control arm bush in the right spot.

If you're not confident about doing it, i'd recommend taking it to a mechanic. It doesn't have to be a suspension specialist, but they will know exactly what to do.
