Ok.. I have a B11 parts car, and I'm trying to get my new B12 up and running. In the process of swapping engines I noticed the boot on my B12 CV joint, on the passenger side is torn and has spilled it's guts. I can guess the answer to this, but does anyone know for sure, can I use the B11 passenger side half shaft on the B12? ie, is it the correct length?
Also.. on a side note.. Are the 5 speed transmissions the same between the 2 cars? (85 B11, 87 B12)

Thanks

The B11s have the RS5F30A tranny, the B12s have the RS5F31A tranny. They might be interchangable, you'll just have to try.

***** There are differences. The mount bracket [in front of the trans.] uses different bolt holes. The axles do not interchange [close, but no cigar]. I'd just replace the boot for $12. Or go with a reman axle. They also use different size clutches.
