OK this has been going on for MONTHS, and the previous owner said it's been doing this since he owned the car. (5 years)

the shift between 1 and 2 jerks the car forward (also probably why I need new CV shafts) In the snow I noticed that it's actually abruptly kicking the speedo up at least 15 KM/h. If yuo play with the throttle, it minimizes the bump, sometimes completely stops it.

WHat is the problem here? I read the other thread about opening an auto up to change fluid, im afraid of doing this! I've never worked on an automatic, even in the pony all I did was remove them (3 swaps) and replace them with manuals.

What could this be?

Gosh.... I'm so glad I now own a Sentra that doesn't have that jerking problem. My old 87 Sentra automatic had that same jerking problem and it kills motor mounts (and possibly tranny mount) quick. A fluid and filter change helped some, but it was still worse than it should have been.

About your car, I think there was a TSB (technical service bulletin) on these series of transmissions. Someone help me on this. Search this issue also because a few other people have this problem with their automatic B13s.

harsh 1-2 shift

I am rebuilding my 94 automatic and a package in the kit states: due to common problem of a harsh 1-2 shift we have included the 1-2 accumulator spring. This should be replaced on every rebuild since they have been known to break.
