how much of a PITA is it to get a auto trans car dynod, this has been bugging me for a couple of days and just got around to asking. and if it is possible what to i have to do to get it done

kid, you can put any car on a dyno, it doesn't matter manual or auto..

i know that, what i was getting at was how to get the tranny to stay as close to a 1:1 ratio as possible w/o going into overdrive which is no where near a 1:1

and no where a kid, thanks for trying though

well considering most places wont let you dyno your own car cuz of liability issues.. so if they know how to do it right, they will keep it close to that ratio for more correct numbers

Have the OD off, and it will stay in 3-rd gear which is 1:1. The torque converter locks up at about 3000rpm, so you get a dyno curve from there on up to the rev limit.
