If you are going to swap in the SR20, you might want to consider not swapping in the manual tranny. The GA16 tranny won't interchange with the SR20, so you would just be wasting time and money. money that could be spent better on mods for the SR20. just a thought....

The tranny from and SR20 will not bolt up to a GA16. As to what else you would need, I wouldn't be of much help there.

your going to need a lot to switch it to manual, but if you plan to swap to the SR20, it would just be a waste of money to go manual. i know this cause i will be getting the swap done soon or ill be doing it myself.

heres a simple overview of what you would need: tranny, clutch, flywheel, axles, starter, tranny mount, crossmember, brake/clutch pedals, clutch cable, clutch master+slave cylinders, shifter/knob, and miscellaneous things here and there.

hope this helps you make a decision

I have done several auto to stick swaps, and all came out great. Definatley worth the effort. I must say though, that each time I had an entire stick shift donor parts car. I wouldn't try to pull the swap off by buying a few parts from here and there. There are simply too many parts involved to do it right. A set of pedals, a shifter, and a trans. won't get it done. There is a bit of wiring to do also. The reverse lamp circuit and the neutral safety switch circuit, need to be altered for the manual application.
