As I need to build up a gearbox, I am considering buying a new 20AE transmission. There is very little difference in cost between the viscous transmission and the open diff (<$100) if I get a new on to beef up. I just need to see the case if the mounting holes on the front and front clearance are the same. If anyone knows of one local, I would like to meet up to take a look at it.

I thought your car is an auto?

I am trying to look at a 20th An LSD manual transmission

Yes it is an Auto. But if all you want to see is the bbell housing's bolt pattern. Then they are exactly the same. All the trannys from 94 to 2001 are the same.

It is not the bell housing I need to look at, it is the transmission case. I need to see if there are any differences on the front of the case between the viscous and non-viscous transmissions. I know the cases are difference as the diff section in the back of the case is larger on the viscous. I just don't know if there are also any changes to the front of the case between the 2 transmissions.
