I’m a salesman so I put quite a few miles on my Altima. The dealership told me that the service engine light came on because me catalytic converter has failed. I couldn’t afford the dealership price so a local mechanic installed an aftermarket unit. We also replaced the front and back O2 sensor and now the Mass Air Flow sensor. The car runs great from 0-60 but the minute I jump onto the interstate and run 70 - 72, the minute I hit the brake to slow down for everyone driving faster the car bucks a little and I check my gas mileage. I’m getting barely 18 - 19 miles per gallon. I’ve been back to the mechanic that installed the aftermarket catalytic converter at least 15 times. Please give me some advise on what to do?
