Like I said before. I turn heads now with only a few bolt ons. Can't wait until $ saved for major mods...eventually to become a play toy instead of every day driver! Save SAAve SAAVVEE!
i think its more of a powerband thing. not to mention the manual gets another gear to play with. what i mean is if you have an auto, try driving in 1st or 2nd on the gearshift. press on the gas then let off. then hit the gas again. now imagine this feeling every time you shift, because of the slow down time between shifts, and being able to stay in gear and do that, without having to downshift.Niss200SXGTR said:
I think manuals, although equal HP, can be better, becuase of the way it is driven, and you can take the RPMS higher than auto's.
lol, i do that too, but my family yells at me every time they catch me doing it. someing about if you did that in a driver's test they would fail you. hell i don't care, to me it makes sense to use the other foot for a brake, that way you can't pull an old lady and mash the gas when you ment to hit the brake. your other leg will reflexivly hit the brake.barnoun said:I use 2 hands and 2 feet, and I have an auto(2 hands on the wheel, and left foot braking)
he went flying by me and two maximas that were racing on the way home from the meet on sat....with his ac on!!!!His car is fast but i also think that after all he has done that he should of atleast hit 100hp...Teknokid said:I say, dont give up. so what if its 97 hp at the wheels. Without seeing or hearing your car i can tell you that it responds better to your foot mashing the pedal than it did before stock. There is just so much more you can do to your car to make it go faster. Dont limit your mind to just bolt ons. HOw about porting and polishing your GA. That should free up some horsepower. Extrude Honing is good too. Remember that our GA's respond well to head work and some other internal mods better than the D series Honda motors.
I drive a manual and I must say that I love it way better than automatic. IMO, automatics suck. Sure you can mash the pedal down a race track and it'll shift always but that takes the fun out of racing. ONe thing about auto's is this: They are predictable. They always shift before you can get optimal power, now on the other hand with a manual, if you are good you will always shift at the right time, only that you should figure out the best time to shift.
who is this directed to?selrider99 said:your front pads must go quick......do you ever hit the gas while on the break....?

first, its illegal to use two feet while driving unless you drive a manual car. and i know you are going to ask, well.....how is anyone going to know. well yes you are right how will anyone know, but its still illegal. secondly, statistics show that when put into a dangerous situation in a car (i.e. stopping short) your first impression is to use both your feet to press the brakes. now the reason why they dont want you to drive with both feet is to illiminate the chance of accidently pressing the gas when braking in an emergency. if you are trained to use one foot, your right foot will go exactly to where the brake is, that is what you have trained yourself to do. your left foot will slide to meet the right. but if you trained yourself to use both feet, its more difficult to make your right foot go to the brake, b/c its trained to press on the gas. hope this isnt too long winded, but bottom line.....you trained yourself to drive an automatic with both feet. its a learned habbit, it can be unlearned. train yourself to drive the right way (no offense)lol, i do that too, but my family yells at me every time they catch me doing it. someing about if you did that in a driver's test they would fail you. hell i don't care, to me it makes sense to use the other foot for a brake, that way you can't pull an old lady and mash the gas when you ment to hit the brake. your other leg will reflexivly hit the brake.
Sure...but did you ever notice the time it took to catch up to you and Tak some of the times. The pulley does free up some acceleration, some times I dont bother turning off the A/C to pass, cuz its not much of a difference.selrider99 said:
