So mere moments ago I went to go home in my 94 b13 sentra w/a 1.6L engine and 5 speed manual trans.

I put the car in reverse and as I was letting out the clutch, i heard a "pop" now the clutch wont engage and I can't go anywhere.

What happened? Did I break the linkage? Did the clutch crap out on me? any help is appreciated.

Does the clutch peddle just drop when pressed? no resistance. If that is the case you prob snapped your clutch cable. As far as I know its not to much of a PITA and should be around 50 for the part.

its real easy to tell if u popped the cable... the clutch arm is on top of the tranny in the engine bay have a friend look there and when u press the clutch it should move if not you popped it ... other than that when my clutch went out in a 720 pickup it made a loud noise

Ok, so my suspicions were confirmed, it was a popped cable. For $20 at autozone and about 3 hours of work, (hey, it was my first time doing this repair) my car is zipping along again.
