I need a new Engine Computer Module ECU + Immo. I found one on Ebay for a 2001 pathfinder and I'm trying to determine if it is in fact interchangeable with my 99 maxima. Please help. Thanks for your time and consideration.

To determine if the ECMs are interchangable, first the engine/transmission should match. To determine if the pinouts are the same, you'll have to get copies of the FSMs for both cars and examine the pinout numbers for a match. Then you'll have to deal with the immobilizer. If the car doesn't start with the new ECM, you may have to get it re-flashed at a Nissan dealer.

You can buy a used ecm on ebay for your '99:

Probably not. 4th gen Maxima (A32) is 1995-1999, 5th gen is 2000-2001. Around the 1999-2001 timeframe is when Nissan did a lot of ECU changes (hello software reflashable ECUs) so I'd guess not. However I don't actually know for sure.

As said finding the proper ECU is a lot easier, and even then you may need the immobilizer reprogrammed.
