Okay my mother has a 1996 nissan maxima with the VQ30DE motor and it's time for a plug change... from what i can tell it hasn't had one in a very long time (if ever?) I was able to access the front 3 plugs fine, the ones under the plastic cover by the oil-filler hole in the front of the car. But i'm at a loss in how to access the other 3... Can someone help me figure this out?

Please don't tell me i have to remove the intake manifold just to get access... surely nissan made it easier than that.

You dont have to remove the intake manifold on the VQ30DE. All you have to do is unplug them and use a 8mm or 5/16 socket to loosen the screws and pull the coil pack out. Then just use your spark plug socket and extension to remove and change the plugs.

Yeah i got that for the front 3 under the plastic fascia in the front, but what about the other 3? I can't see an easy way to get to em.

They are there...just use a light to see them. They are between the intake runners.
