As the the title states, just finished swapping the alternator, and now the belt is loose. I don't think I'm missing anything, it's pulled as far as it'll go, hitting the bracket, so no more adjustment can be made. Any ideas? (4-cyl)
is the tensioner max'd out? if the pulley is different you have a few options..
take the alti off and get another one, change the pulley, or get a smaller belt.
if you go for the belt, take the old one with you so it can judge it better... probably the lessor of the evils
