Hi all i recently installed a alarm in my 94 HB 4 cyl truck. And I think i shorted out something by mistake. lol. After i installed the alarm. I noticed my a/c switch does not illuminate with i press it and the dimmer doesn't work for it anymore. My lighter also does not work. I checked every single fuse in the fuse box and all of them are ok. Is there maybe a inline fuse somewhere or a relay. I have the haynes manual for it and i don't see anything like that. I really appreciate any help on this subject. Thank you very much.

check the fuses..

and take that alrm crap off..

cigg lighters can go bad..

but no inline fuses that i know of.

it sounds like u have done something right behind the a/c button.
sinc both wires meet at that place.

ok I took out the dash trim and used a voltmeter. There is no power going to the back of the ac switch and the lighter at all. I went back to the fuse box and checked it with a voltmeter. Every accessory has voltage at the fuse box except the cigarette lighter. This is with ignition at on position. Any ideas?

sounds as if u found the problem.

Yea I placed a wire in between another fuse that was for an accessory and put the other end for the cigarette lighter. A/c and lighter works fine now. Thanks
