does a single cam 240 trans fit a 4cyl d21 pickup let me no

It should the block and aolt of components are shared between the 4 cyl and the inline 6's I do know that the later 97 on up D22 use a different trans to engine bolt pattern. I would either use a piece of cardboard traced from the rear engine plate or the rear engine plate itself and see if it fits the six or vice versa!
