I pull up to a civic at night around 11pm. Its a custom blue hatchback. DOnt know what mods he has, i know he didnt have an aftermarket exhaust. He had a 3 gauge pillar on the left that were light up pretty good. He had indiglo gauges and neon lights in there. SO many damn gauges I thought he had the damn international space station in there. He had about 3 others in the car and i was alone in my car. Well the light turns green i take off and im about a car length in front of him. I pull away by about 3 carlengths in 3rd gear. I was going about 80 MPH in a 45 zone so i slow down. He finally catches up and i just point and laugh. I put it in 3rd, go in front of him and then turn on my g/f's street

See here, we can all learn from Chris and his antics. When you guys are out there killing Honda's, you might be forgetting something.

To laugh at them!

See, that's like the final kick in the nuts when you dropped back, laughed and pointed (pointing is a nice touch), grabbed 3rd and pulled in front of him.

I wonder what he was doing with all of those gauges anyways? Maybe he was too busy trying to figure out which gauge told him how much horsepower he had.

Ha ha ha... nice kill!

Still looking for an SE-R to buy...

Maybe he wasn't racing... there's some civic guys that have pretty nice turbo's like greddy or they could be running nos that won't race on the street. Those gauges might be for boost, NOS, A/F mixture, temperature, water temps, etc.

If he was racing then he was way slow! Probably just a show car with a lot of riced modifications.

Yeah i guess you could be right but I know he didnt have a performance exhaust. Usually if youre going to run turbo, not sure about NOS, you want to get bigger exhaust pipes, better ignition setup, and more air coming in. I mean i liked the setup of the gauges but you would figure they should have better use than on what I assume is a stock setup. His car was not loud at all, and the worst part of all is that he had 3 other people in his little hatchback. You usually dont "race" with unneccessary weight.

Now you know he could have a remotely controlled exhaust valve. I've seen some setups on domestic cars that had a 3" exhaust with really quiet mufflers and they had a little Y pipe thing before the cat. The Y-pipe had a valve that is either electronically controlled or by cable and when you activate it, it'll open up a 3" pipe to nothing!

That way they could be quiet on the street and chose when they want to be loud and fast. Now, I don't see why this guy would have all these gauges and race someone and lose BAD. Did you hear anything? like factory honda rice? Intake/Exhaust? Did you hear a chirp off the line or even into his 2nd gear? Did he even acknowledge that you were beside him? I have all these domestic cars, vw's, jetta's, and worst of all - RICERS revving up on me all the time. Every day, every intersection! It sux when you want to go the speed limit, then they'll follow you around. It was just 2 days ago that I had to do 4 evasive - consecutive right turns to get this rice off my rear and to dissappear! (He couldn't take turns at all, lol, just long blocks)

I wouldnt really call him a ricer cause eventually if he did add a turbo and NOS, he would need those gauges. He could need them now such as A/F, oil pressure, etc. Someone around here wouldnt waste all that money just to look stock. Most honda owners want to have their exhaust sound loud
