what is the best exhaust for my car? (note: i have the 96' 2+2) and no exhaust will fit my car but after talking to stillen they told me that on the 96 2+2 one of the flang gaskets was rotated 4 degrees so no aftermarket exhaust would go onto the car. stillen also told me that if i took it to a muffer shop that i could get them to twist it back and put on any exhaust that would fit a 90-95 2+2.

I haven't heard of anyone having problems with exhaust fitment on 96 2+2s, but then again I don't know anyone with one. You should find the exhaust you like first, and then call the manufacturer and ask them if it will fit on a 96 2+2. They should know. If it turns out that 90-95 exhausts won't fit yours, I think finding a good muffer/exhaust shop that will fabricate one for you would work fine. They're usually reasonably priced if not cheaper than buying a brand name catback, and can look just as nice. But it will be unique as well. :) You could ask for an X-pipe for better air flow.

Tough call on what the best exhaust for the money is. The exhaust that flows the best is the most expensive. The Jim Wolf Genie is a high quality exhaust for a pretty good price, but it's single tip on each side and it's an H-pipe. Greddy is also good. B&B is probably the most popular, but also the most costly. HKS also makes some good ones.

You should research your options and decide what's most important to you - do you want stainless steel? H-pipe or X-pipe? (Since you have an NA, this makes less of a difference.) Single or dual tip? There are many different styles for each and everyone likes something different. You can get a Monza exhaust for only $300 or so, but it's not stainless and it's pretty loud. Actually someone I know had one of those on his 1990 2+2.

Just look around... you shouldn't let anyone tell you what the "best" exhaust is for the price because some people have different reasons for buying what they did! :)
