If the factory CAI is well designed; whice it should be, you're just wasting your time and money with aftermarket air intake components. Stick with OEM air filters. Any aftermarket air filter that uses an oil film may eventually cause problems with the MAF.

+1. They also don't filter a dang thing. Might as well wear out your cylinder walls with open stacks, because a K&N isn't much better.

Very interesting reading, Air Filter Efficiency Data. I've been a K & N air filter user for years and will say that I do notice better fuel economy and acceleration. Yes, they do cost way more then OEM, but I keep my vehicles for awhile, and therefore don't mind the cleaning of the filter twice a year!

I also have used K & N filters on all my bikes, and also my 2001 Tahoe (I am the original owner). I have never had an issue!!
