I’ve had my 2022 Pathfinder for a few months now and discovered a flaw in design of the molded mudguards. They are double wall and open on top. They hold water and dirt. I had to blast water in the top to rinse the crud out. See photo.

That doesn't surprise me. And if you get any amount of snow where you live, I'll bet they'll collect that too and eventually break off like with the previous gen Pathy.

You might consider removing the mudguards and drilling some drain holes on the bottom of them and re-installing them.

Drains won't really help, Rogo. They'll still collect leaves and crud. Several Nissan models have the same tendency. For people who are bothered by it, the best fix is to fill them up with expanding crack sealer so they aren't hollow anymore.

Interesting, I'll have to take a look at mine just for the hell of it. I've got a 2012 Altima.
