Hi everybody! I just bought my first car yesterday, a 2011 Nissan Sentra SR. After I got home from the car lot, and put it in park I noticed that part of the cover on the gear selector had fallen off of the track. It only is like that while in park, after putting it in drive, the other side stays up. I tried to use some needle nose pliers to get it back up, but was unable to get it back on the track. Any ideas on how to fix it? I can take pictures if that will help.

Thanks in advance!

You can try removing the center console cover assembly; there should be some clips holding the small plate on the console cover. Pull out lock pin from shift selector handle to detach the top knob from the handle.
