2000 Civic Si
- Injen CAI
- Greddy Evo Exhaust
- Headers (dont know brand)

est. HP - 175-180 est. Torque - 120-122lbs

200SX SE-R
- Hotshot CAI

est. 148hp est. Torque - 140lbs

Took off down level road. I was out in front by about a car length for awhile. I think it was my torque advantage that helped it. So I was ahead for quite awhile up until about 45-50mph then he slowly creeped past me with his V-TEC:rolleyes: Shut it down at about 65-70 cuz I had to turn.

uhhhhhhhhh...................ricer knowledge>all book smarts

dude.....VTEC wasn't what made him pass you..........his 140+whp did.............as opposed to your 125ish whp.

LOL

"he passed me cuz of his VTEC, not because he has like 25-35 more hp than me"

edit- BTW, you don't have any 140 lb-ft torque either buddy.

Ehh, you could be right about the 140lbs of torque, just an estimate. And when I mentioned v-tec, notice the rolling eyes.

Somethig about those civic SI's that has everyone worrying. Just imagine a CRX with an H22a in it and then you guys would really be in trouble, right? An Se-r driven by a decent driver should be able to hand an Si a spanking. If you don't understand your power band and when is the appropriate time to shift, you're just out there wasting gas and cruising to be smoked. I was smoking Si's with a CA18DE in my 1987 nissan sentra and those guys in the Si's had the strangest looks on their faces like "WTF" was that all about. Hp is just part of the equation. You also have power to weight, aerodynamics, mods, torque and the weight of the driver (just kidding):). But rest assure that most hondas on the race scene are modded in some fashion and their shifting mechanisms puts nissan's to shame. The aftermarket supports hondas and mitsubishis heavily so I don't care to hear excuses about none of them and why they lose races. We nissan owners (especially pre-1991 enthusiasts) have to fabricate, hybrid and do without some parts because there is no support. No excuses here either because these are the choices we made and I am very content with mine and you guys should be too.

Hey, boost boy your right. I'm not worried about the Si...I'm more worried about my friend cars. I have some crazy friends with some pretty crazy civics. 1. Bubble with a GSR motor and a 60-1 turbo.... They also have another one with a T66 turbo last but not least the CRX with the Type R motor and 100Shot off noss. I am hopeing a GT3037 on my SE-R will give these guys a run for their money. A few weeks ago the The Civic with the T66 posted a 11.60 on the 1/4 mile. The CRX with the Shot posted a 12.50...O my.:(

I have to argue your power estimates. Well, not argue. More like disregard. Your taking the manufactures bhp ratings and just adding a said amount each mod gives you to it. No one uses bhp and noone uses said amount of power each mod gives you and adds them together. I just doesnt work that way.

FYI: most manufactures bhp ratings are usually overrated.

And its VTEC, not V-TEC.

...this is me trying to be undisgruntled.

The CRX with The Type R motor and the 100 shot is pretty quick. The only down side is non of my friend Honda’s last. They might run 2-4 time and then crack something or blow something. I'm always cracking jokes on those guys" so when are you expecting to blow up again" :p .
My friend own one bad ass power SE-R. GTi-R motor with an F-max stage 5 ball bearing + a 50 shot. With the stage one he posted a 12.00 on the 1320. The car is fast and strong compair to thoses civic. He boosted 20 PSI one night. scary!
