Hello everyone, I am here in hopes of answers to my life's greatest anxieties right now. I have an 2007 nissan pathfinder 180,000 miles the thing was parked for a year when a prior shope quoted a timing chain. It has had a new transmission installed when the radiator interfered with the old. It drove great for a year with the new transmission then suddenly seemed starved of power and started making a shuttering sound. I obtained the thing and since have installed new chains tensioners and guides primary and secondary. And found the truck to still have a misfire. I then found the knock sensor for bank 1 was severed (probably by a rat) and I installed a new harness and knock sensor I then narrowed the codes and misfires down to a single bad coil I've replaced the coil and the truck idles and revs beautifuly. But under load I'm still getting code p0300 random multiple misfires and a loud shutter from the bay, my long and short term trims show bank 2 at an overall 5% higher value than bank one and has no value for long term compared to bank 1. I've put a lot of time and money into this truck and I really don't want to give up. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated

A scan tool with a misfire counter would probably be real helpful! That, or seeing the firing patterns on an oscilloscope.. Random misfires codes are pretty general. It's possible you may have another coil pack or more that is misfiring under a load but just hasn't triggered a code. Worn spark plugs....or a bad spark plug...could cause a similar concern. The cam position and crank position sensors on these engines can sometimes start to go bad but not always trigger a code; typically, they fail as they get hot and start working when they cool down (or, just outright don't work at all causing a no start or no run issue). Low fuel pressure can cause such an issue, so confirming the fuel pressure would not be a bad idea. A failing or dirty fuel injectors can also cause this; the resistance can be check on the fuel injectors and compared to the service manual specs or you can try some fuel injector cleaner. Hopefully there's not more rodent damage to the wiring that you just can't see. Make sure there are no open recalls nor campaigns for your Pathfinders. Last but not least, make sure you can't turn the battery cable terminals as installed on the battery post. A lot of problems are caused by loose battery connections on these vehicles.

Two things come to mind: 1) clogged cat and 2) clogged cat. Are you getting any other codes? How do the plugs look?
