I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra and i put in a BlingLights Cold Air intake. it works perfectly fine. i installed it back in april, and drove it until june when i started having troubles with my low gas mileage.. mind you i drove from new york to florida, about 2,800 miles averaging a nice 39 mpg in the process.. but as soon as i get down to florida i get a check engine light on, so i think "ok i'll take it to a dealer and they replace my air/fuel ratio meter, so then 2 weeks later my check engine light comes on and i take it to auto zone and it says that my O2 sensor before my Cadillac converter needs to be replaced, so i go to the dealer again and they say because i have my air intake on that they cannot replace it because it voids the warrenty. after that they reset my light and i have been averaging 22-23 mpg where i should be averaging 32-34mpg... is this because i do need a new O2 sensor? or did they mess with my car because i have the intake on it trying to get more money from me?

check your air temp sensor that normally is on the intake.
does it still give an O2 sensor code ?

is your air temp sensor connected still ?
Well i guess if the O2 is bad and the car modified how do you prove you didn't kill it ?
how long would it take you to return to stock, and will they still honor the warranty ?

it would cost 500-700 dollars to replace the parts missing to make it stock.. not worth it..

but when i replaced the air intake it was never changed into the computer telling it so. there is no way i would have killed it..

there is an Air temp sensor on the old Air intake snorkel, did you re-connect it ?
If the mileage has gone bad then anything that causes a rich mixture is suspect.
Air temp sensor
Water temp sensor
O2 sensor before the CAT

the air temp sens and everything is still there.. it was driving perfectly fine until i drove down to florida..

i had my air/fuel ratio meter change because thats what the first code was and nissan change it under my warrenty. but now it is saying from the computers at auto zone that my O2 sensor needs to me replaced..

i just need my light to come back on so i can go to one of the small tune up shops around here and have them look at it.. but i just dont understand the drop in mileage like that.. i am going 130 miles till 1/2 a tank and i have a 12 gallon tank.. and i should be getting 34mpg.. i dont get it..
