I have a 2006 Pathfinder LE 4x4 that I just had in to the dealer for some minor work. During the "free checkup" they "found" that I needed a wheel alignment. Said the tires are getting "choppy."

I haven't had any "pulling to one side" issues, and there are only 23,000 miles on the truck.

But they told me that I should bring it back for an $80 alignment and spend another $140 or so for them to install "camber bolts." Guy didn't give me a real clear explanation, other than saying 4x4s should have them but don't and I really ought to have the work done.

Can anyone shed some light on this, or are $140 camber bolts a new variation on the old muffler bearing and turn signal fluid scams?

My 07 has acentric washers on the a-arm bolts, allows for the same motion as cammed bolts.
Can be ordered online, but I would bet they are already there.

Sorry for spelling - eccentric i meant.
But you are right, no cam bolts/washers on the upper arms, just on the lower.
My mistake.
