We had a pretty bad storm this past weekend in the Mid-Atlantic region and when I went out to my truck the next day, everything seemed fine. That is until I opened the small storage compartment next to the gear shifter and found my bluetooth headset sitting in an inch of water.

All of the windows were closed, including the sunroof. There was no other sign of any water anywhere. I've only had the truck for 6 weeks and I've never spilled anything inside the passenger area.

So, how does this happen? How can I locate the leak?

Have someone hold a running water hose over the car while you're inside checking for drips.

I would imagine that the seal around your windshield or sunroof has a gap in it somewhere.

I do believe there is a bulletin regarding sunroof leaks. But then again, you may have a little object trapped between the seal and roof.
