Sorry, I don't know the correct term for this other than wheel width! I am not refering to the width of the tire but the width of the vehicle, at the wheels overall. Something has always bothered me about my Pathfinder. It appears that my Pathfinder is narrower than others. I can't figure it out. I thought it was something to do with the flared wheel wells. But it appears not. I'm a good inch or so inside other Pathfinders. Does this make sense? Mine is a 4X4. My local dealer doesn't seem to know.......

Thanks.

My '03 owners manual has two entries in the specs for width:

Overall width:
69.7"
71.7" (SE and LE wide models)

I don't know if it means *every* SE/LE model is 71.7" wide... or if there are "wide" editions of the SE and LE... but they do exist out there. All Chinooks and XEs are likely only 69.7" wide, though I don't have a tape measure with me. :p

The width, from side-to-side, at a vehicle's wheels is generally known as "wheel track"...to answer your question about the term.
