Hey,

My pathy came down with the dreaded SES light... Had codes read: 0445/1448... After poking around I found that the Vacuum Cut Valve was totally melted... Anyone else had this happen? Is isn't located near a heat source so I've no idea how it happened.

Is this part available anywhere but the stealer? (Dealer) I haven't been able to find the part or part numbers online.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Hey, I see this was posted awhile ago but I'm hoping you have some info I could use... What was your solution 'cause I just pulled an odd piece of melted plastic that my repair manual says should be a vacuum cut off valve, and have those very same codes...

I recently replaced my vacuum cut valve after a gross leak code p0455 and p1448.
I realized that the white plastic valve was melted close to the port that comes from the canister. The diagram also shows a link continued from canister to the engine manifold. Could this be caused by fire? Or heat? It is really scary
